During the time of uncertainty after the 2000 presidential election, Patrick Schleisman (US), Andreas Stein (DE) and Joachim Stein (DE) signed a non aggression pact at Lake Tahoe.

Foreseeing that with George W. Bush as a president conflicts between the United States and Germany were to be expected, Schleisman and the Stein brothers decided it was a good idea to sign a contract which would guarantee peace between the nations in the turbulent times that lay ahead.
The signing took place in the Schleisman’s winter domicile at Lake Tahoe. Schleisman’s mother helped taking photos and creating an appropriate ambience.
Both parties agreed in the Tahoe treaty, that regardless of the governments in power, the use of military force between the two countries will under no circumstance be tolerated by any of the signing parties. The agreement is unconditional.
